A quantum scientist found that our universe is surrounded by massive bubbles slowly floating upwards, all around, above, and below us. Our universe, a collection of countless galaxies, is within a bubble floating slowly upwards along with these surrounding bubbles. Our expanding universe resides within our universal encasement (this bubble), and we cannot see the encasement of our universe or others without using a cross-dimensional filter technology this scientist invented. We discovered that our expanding universe only makes up about 27% of our universal encasement, so we are still reasonably young into our universe's lifespan.
By studying quantum physics, we understand that virtual particles pop in and out of existence in a vacuum of space void of everything. In addition, we discovered that every one of these pops is unique, and some pops are more significant than others. These virtual particles are micro-explosions, forming spherical encasements and then popping within a blip of time. Between formation and destruction, these encasements contain indications of sub-quantum matter, which expands rapidly and finally pops its encasement. This paragraph sounds a lot like the first, doesn't it?
We found the infinite quantum "bridge" or link between the microscopic and macroscopic states of the universe. We found that the virtual particles that form quantum foam on a minor scale mirror parallel laws that our universe has to follow on a macroscopic level: encasements "foaming" up in the multiverse, creating the larger picture of the macroverse. We discovered that our universe is infinite by linking these quantum-macro laws.
Like quantum foam, multiverses are like the bubbles that are foaming up together to create the bigger picture of a macroverse beyond it - a whole new dimension. Imagine a show on a never-ending television produced by pixels that must be constructed and destroyed in a particular order to create a moving picture. That object in motion would symbolize the macroverse and its collection of pixels, which are its smaller multiverses. However, there are different levels to the macroverse that are dependent on scale. As you zoom out and this once large scale becomes smaller, that collection of pixels becomes the "multiverse" of a larger "macroverse" (or a smaller section of a bigger picture). This process is infinite as you keep zooming out in scale: there is always more to the scene. Likewise, there is always less.
We say that each universe is "in another dimension." The other universes exist in other laws of physics - that is why we could not initially see them with the naked eye. There is a difference between geometric dimensions and different dimensions of physics. When I say these encasements hold other dimensions, they work with physical laws differently due to the foreign natural forces that burst inside them when they formed. A universe does start from a "big bang," but they've been renamed entropic pops, which is more fitting. Once an entropic pop occurs, two explosions happen, a sudden one and a gradual one. The sudden one forms a universal encasement, and the later gradual explosion is the expanding matter inside of the encasement. Each burst has a unique entropic frequency, which gives birth to its laws of physics.
These other dimensions (or universes) have different laws of physics and reside in other places. Talking about the 4th or 5th dimension is different because they are experienced visually and geometrically. One thing to note is that space stays the same even if a being can view it differently. In other words, you can't go to the 4th dimension - it is not a place. However, you can view and experience the same space in the 4th dimension.

Humanity (3 Factions)
The Natural Born | Avg Lifespan ~ 150 yrs
The Natural Born (also known as pure humans) are extremely rare. Far less exists because in the past, by surrendering their conscious free will, they could’ve elected to be morphed into either faction in competition. Either faction would’ve happily taken them at one point, it is only when they are in hiding that both factions consider them an enemy. They’ve been in hiding too long by the start of Book I to be considered by either faction for morphing.
Through conscious conversion laws (laws enforced by the Cryptic Government), anyone over 17 who does not have a brainstem chip implant can be subject to death. The Amalgafied Government has a similar law reflected within their territory. The Ecther Treaty has determined what is Cryptic territory vs what is Amalgafied territory. The Natural Born were left out of that treaty and have been in hiding since it was formed. No official natural-born territory exists, so this faction is always subject to another’s laws. The last remaining faction in Book I was situated within a hollowed-out Swiss mountain. It was named Snowden Keep.
The Natural Born are not exempt from technology. In fact, in the time this story takes place, they need it to survive. They use tech such as phantom frames and plugs, which are removable devices that attach to the body. The frames can create a layer of augmented reality, such as a HUD over the user’s overall point of view. The plugs can do a soft or deep dive into the consciousness, allowing one to call someone or explore a space in virtual reality telepathically. The plugs are rubber-like buds that individually stick on each user’s temples.
Unlike the other factions, this faction doesn’t rely on vehicular travel alone to get from point A to point B. The Natural Born also has a unique technology they call brackets, which are quantum thruster-propelled anklets and bracelets to help their person fly.
The CryptSights (Cyborg Humans) | Avg Lifespan ~ 300 yrs
The CryptSights are humans with artificially intelligent operating systems embedded in their mind that helps guide their inner dialogue. This is installed in their stream of consciousness by a physical chip implanted at the back base of their skull. It internally outstretches micro biotech, installing connection points through the Cerebral Cortex and creating a prime connection point, penetrating into the Pineal Gland.
The chip only has to be placed at the right place at the base of the skull, and “the chip” does the rest of the process, injecting its biotech through little needle pricks similar to stitches on the edge of a square patch sewn to fabric. In this case, the fabric is human skin. As the biotech disperses through the bloodstream, it forms connection points through to the nervous system, wiring down through all appendages of the human body. Once this process is complete, which usually takes a few minutes, this chip is rendered useless but normally left on the body anyway. This process can never be undone. After a few hours, the chip can be removed if the user wishes.
This ultimately creates the Nexus OS (a separate artificially intelligent operating system from the human conscious, but resides within it), which is embedded in the consciousness of a human to build off of their behavior, making it likely to bond with them and help “guide” their should their morals be “wrong.” It adds an artificially internal “speaking” system of unique thought that can augment reality over what the user sees. The Nexus is bound into all senses with the human, even emotion. The Nexus knows when its shared human is disheartened or worried. When its human touches something, it “feels” the object too.
The Nexus OS is updated by a remote organization known as the Cryptic Government (originally known as the Nexus Core), which governs this power. The wielders of the Nexus Core OS are named CryptSights as a collective whole. The CryptSights believe in pure evolved consciousness with the help of technology. The Cryptic Government’s signature brainstem chip will only successfully embed if a person is 100% human; otherwise, it's instructed to kill the host. This is why an Amalgafied cannot also be a CryptSight. Most new chips are installed on newborn clones.
The Amalgafied (Bioengineered Humans) (Elves, Leogin, Salnakor, and the Roughbeasts) | Avg Lifespan ~ 300 yrs (but can keep transferring their consciousness)
To be Amalgafied, one either needs to be born Amalgafied, or the Amalgafication process has to occur. Amalgafication uses technology to transfer your consciousness into the created Amalganoid, an animal humanoid that bioengineers have lab-grown. This humanoid is biologically advanced enough to hold our consciousness within it without "terminating," essentially it having a seizure and dying in the process. Amalganoids are human-animal cloned hybrids up until the point where they receive the intended consciousness. After that point, it is considered Amalgafied. Amalganoid is only used to describe the clone preemptive to the process.
The consciousness within the Amalganoid, which has been in slumber but is also highly advanced, is then transferred back into the human body. These beings are subsequently euthanized. The Amalgafied believed this was a more natural way of expanding human consciousness than becoming a "cyborg." At least, that is what they initially thought. Not all of the Natural Born followed in these footsteps. Those who did not were forced to leave their homelands as they were now the weaker faction.
Initially, only two races emerged from the Amalgafied: The Elvin and the Leogin. Elves are enhanced humanoid creatures, a blend of the best traits from our animal kingdom and foreign kingdoms that would apply to the folklore stereotype. Yes, they even have pointed ears and fully dilated, black eyes to match the expected aesthetics. Standing 8-10ft tall with thick skin and athletic builds, Elves are intimidating. Sci-fi movies and folklore stories played into the creation of this race. The fictional elvish traits of stealth and agility were taken seriously during development.
The Leogin are feline-like humanoids. They are strong, swift, and furious. Their pointed teeth and claws are a deadly addition to their humanoid appearance. They have excellent hearing, run on all fours, and have night vision. Fur is also a plus. After growing in strength, the Amalgafied seized the BioCrypt from the CryptSights and developed their own internal OS, the PrimeMind.
The PrimeMind is more open-sourced between the races of the faction. Each race of the Amalgafied's altered consciousness is biologically different. Therefore, all sub-versions of the OS must work separately but simultaneously to create a cohesive experience between communication networks. You can think of the PrimeMind as the Amalgafied's experience upload network, which shares an interface with its sub-versions. Since the Amalgafied are behind the CryptSights in this technology area, they left the PrimeMind open to all members of their faction to build upon. There is no "Nexus Core" of the PrimeMind; it's an open community of developers. Individual Amalgafied are assigned a sub-mind of the PrimeMind that works in parallel with their race type. The sub-mind allows for "modifications" to be applied to the sub-mind at the user's leisure, whereas the Nexus OS only allows approved updates.
The PrimeMind gave the Amalgafied insight to develop two more races within their faction: the Salnakor and the Roughbeasts. The Salnakor are human-reptilian hybrids created by splicing DNA from different reptilian and amphibian species to produce optimal traits. Keeping a bipedal stance and usually having a strong, thick tail, these humanoids can run at extreme speeds. They can withstand heat, use their claw-like nails and teeth as weapons, and see easily at night. Additionally, these Amalgafied can climb vertical structures and smell scents for miles. Enduring short-term aquatic conditions is acceptable for the Salnakor.
The Roughbeasts are created by combining accepted beast-like attributes. These are mutts of the Amalgafied faction. There is no consistent image to describe what the group of these beasts looks like as a whole. The primary benefit of a Roughbeast is the gain in strength and sharpness in the external senses.
The MindBlend Syndicate (Added Faction near the end of Book 2)
Spoiler: Later in Book 2, when the crew makes it back to the Ecther system, they eventually find they had traveled 300 years into the future from when they originally left. Upon warping back and traveling space, they run into the MindBlend Syndicate.
Over the 300 years timeframe, the important takeaway without giving away too much, is that the state of the Ecther System has worsened. The Orbitals are harshly policing the system and the CryptSights are falling apart – most of which now are freed clans with no organization. The MindBlend Syndicates are a neutral faction that was created with the intent to blend all factions of humanity as one. They developed the MindBlend Project which would allow an individual from any faction to volunteer themselves for a surgical procedure which would place their needed organs inside of a suit. The suit comes pre-installed with advanced AI software and is robotic. The intent is to blend organics, robotics, and AI. In this suit, one could potentially live up to 1,000 years.
Although rips and rifts are used interchangeably in the story, Book I has two rips and one rift per solar system. A wormhole rip leads to another wormhole in the universe, which is in another sentient being's star system. A rift leads to void space or to another universe entirely. The rift in our system leads to the Ancient's temple in void space, the Fractal Spire.
The Alathrian Rip - The wormhole rip in other connected systems that leads to the Alathrian solar system.
The Ecther Rip - The wormhole rip in other connected systems that leads to the Ecther solar system.
The Fractal Rift - The wormhole rift in other connected systems that leads to the Fractal Spire temple in void space.
The Othsis Rip - The wormhole rip in other connected systems that leads to the Othsis solar system.
The Ancients (Never Encountered)
The Ancients reside throughout multiple higher-dimensional universes they’ve created for themselves. They’ve named their uniquely programmed universes realms to differentiate them from natural universes. Only one of their realms is showcased: their first realm, called Genisis. The Ancients left their Golden Age origin story encased within the heart of each Fractal Spire. Their kingdoms are unbreachable by all technology except their own, even through rifting. Their realms apply some laws of void space so that nothing within the encasements can grow to exceed the pressure of its force. Their realms are also not subject to the marching of time as we experience it. Their domains will never cease to exist; no outsiders can come in, and they live not subject to time, not as machines but in the biological state they were meant to be in forever. We can only know how they've achieved this by unlocking Fractalism.
The Orbitals
Orbitals are immortal beings in the sense that they will not die unless destroyed. They look like floating chrome spheres. Diagonally embedded around their globed body are two small trench-like laser bands that meet at two circular indentations on the "front" and "back" of the sphere. These two indentations encase a laser eye on the front and back. They can also see all around them through their laser bands, which are optical bands for these alien machines. Their two side indentations are holografter ports that glow a constant orange, staying at the ready.
Orbitals do not have ships. They use their machine-like orb bodies to traverse space as individuals, not as collectives in ships. They used to be an organic species, but over time, they disregarded the need for a body as they discovered how to upload their consciousness to a network and point it to another receiver. This is not the same as having an artificial intelligence embedded in your stream of consciousness or being an artificial intelligence.
Unknown to mankind before their arrival was holografting technology. Their holografter ports allow them to redefine matter by creating new matter or changing matter in the localized atmosphere around them. These ports can shoot multiple types of conjured ammunition and conjure melee holographic weapons from seemingly nothing. An Orbital is around the diameter of two basketballs but can destroy an entire starship with their holografters. Mankind, as of now, cannot replicate this technology.
Orbitals are the only ones who've been able to enter the Fractal Spire so far.
The Calgustation
This ancient alien fungal virus initially landed on the moon Calgus within the Alathrian system via an infected starship that rifted here from across the universe. Calgus is an uninhabited moon of the planet Calathria. In its original state, the Calgustation was spore-based only and spread throughout this moon's thin atmosphere, eventually making contact with the atmosphere of Aquaranulus when crossing orbital paths. On Aquaranulus, it gained full mind and neurological control of all life, rooting down to even the foliage.
During the next crossing of atmospheres, it spread again to Calathria from Aquaranulus, infecting all life. The Aquaranulus Calgustation is more advanced because it has known its hosts and planet longer. Additionally, Aquaranulus has a sentient species, while Calathria does not. The Calgustation is a network of infected sub-minds that work and communicate together through a vast exchange, eventually forming a source of all-knowing information about the planet, similar to a conscious database. This is also known as their Hive Mind. This primary source of the infection is what we call the Calgustation as a whole. Both planets of the Alathrian system have their Calgustation at war: the Aquaranulus Calgustation vs the Calathrian Calgustation.
The two fungal entities branched off from one that rifted to this side of the universe from the other. This alien virus originally infected a host, allowing it to discover how to rift - not warp. The virus used its host's smarts to rift out of our universal encasement and back in it while spinning in void space to the other side. When it figured out how to do this and then crashed, wormholes ripped open in the new system. Both Calgustation hive minds retain the same memories of their ancestry before the split. Although they retain distant memories, they don't have the details ironed out - like remembering how to craft advanced tech. Naturally, their instinctual goal is to overtake the known universe and expand, but the collective networks that make up these two siblings are distracted by rivalry. Additionally, their sentient hosts aren't advanced enough to star travel. They must work with the biological equipment available to them, and some beings' biological brains aren't capable of understanding star travel.
The Natural Born
The Net - The Natural Born's version of a high-tech cloud that houses their entire internet structure, social network, and database of information.
Phantom plugs - Can do a soft or deep dive into the consciousness, allowing one to call someone or explore a space in virtual reality telepathically. The plugs are rubber-like buds that individually stick on each user’s temples.
Phantom frames - Can create a layer of augmented reality, such as a HUD, over the user’s overall point of view.
Brackets - Short for rocket-propelled bracelets or anklets. Brackets don't use rocket propulsion, although they used to. They used to come with special boots you had to snap around, and they would only function if connected to these boots. However, although the tech improved, society refused to drop the catchy name. Once snapped on, they quickly scan your appendages and then use a propulsion that only manipulates the matter next to it. This pushes you away from only small sections of space at a time without using any combustible methods while also making sure not to harm any appendages or digits. The small rotating propulsion cones around the bottom ring of the brackets are programmed to avoid aiming at the wearer or, if not possible, to turn off a section of cones if a body part appears in front of that section.
The CryptSights
The Nexus Core - The oppressive network of the CryptSights.
The Nexus OS - Installed through a brainstem chip into the brain, which also houses the Artificial Intellect of the software.
The Crytpic Eye - A Bluetooth-like modified eye with quantum computers. This eye allows one to connect with others with the same eye and invite them into their internal communication stream. It also allows the HUD to become visible.
Nexstaffs - Staffs equipped by CryptSights, which can control streams of cosmic energy. These cosmic energy streams can be used to connect pieces of tech together or the stream of energy can be used as a weapon.
The Amalgafied
The PrimeMind - The open-sourced network of the Amalgafied.
The PrimeMind OS - Resides within the altered consciousness of the bioengineered Amalganoid which also houses the Artificial Intellect of the software.
The Prime Eye - The same as the Cryptic eye, except it is linked to the PrimeMind Network.
Prime Stems - Is a multi-purpose wand-like object that can generate a stream of energy like a whip to use as bondage or as brutality. These objects also dual function as translators. The Amalgafied will place the tip to their throat and translate from their many languages using different tech embedded in the stem.
The Orbitals
Holografter ports - Holografter ports allow orbitals to redefine matter by creating new matter or changing matter in the localized space around them. These ports can shoot multiple types of conjured ammunition and conjure melee holoweapons from seemingly nothing. An Orbital is around the diameter of two basketballs but can destroy an entire starship with their holografters. Mankind, as of now, cannot replicate this technology.

Shudder Stacking (New Vision Syndicate Tech)
Gravity wells can prevent a ship from landing. However, the shudder stacking technique allows a spacecraft to stay in a constant state of quantum probability. This allows the vessel to pass through the gravity well as if it wasn't there, but it is blinking in and out of a warp state the entire time, in a shuddering state.
Wavewarping (New Vision Syndicate Tech)
A warp wave of bent space fabric is created under the craft, which propels it forward through space. Rather than ripping through space time, the vessel simply alters and rides "a wave" the whole time. It's much more environmentally friendly to local space.
Jumping and warping are the same thing. Jumping is considered a streamlined, low-energy output warp. Jumping can also be done atmospherically with drones. However, a true warp is about a distance of one astronomical unit. To perform a jump or to warp, your ship must have three components: warp cylinders, warp cannons, and a warp or jump drive. When warping, warp cannons on your ship will streamline a surge of energy to crack a small wormhole open in front of your vessel. The warp cylinders power the cannon’s energy output and, ultimately, the strength of the wormhole measured in distance. Warp cylinders need to be calibrated to control the time the entry wormhole stays open and the amount of power they allow to the cannons. What helps control this is the warp or jump drive.
Before you ride in the small synthetic wormhole you just created, you must first power down all modules on your vessel and cease power to the capacitor in full before the wormhole takes you to your designation. If this is not done, the hull of your vessel could be torn apart in transit, or the natural encasement that forms around you to push you through could pop mid-transit, leaving you stranded in space with all of your modules broken.
Warping works by allowing a tiny bit of void space into our universal encasement, which encapsulates us during the transit like a bubble. Essentially, the cannons rip open a small wormhole in our encasement at the starting point, and we allow void space to push us through to our designation point. Imagine a bubble inside of a bubble. That sub-bubble could move quickly from point A to B if shot in a streamlined, controlled manner. Also, by using just the right amount of power, we can have that bubble (or encasement) naturally pop us out at our designation without destroying our ship. If you physically saw both ends of a jump or warp happen, you would see both endpoints open at once, and the ship seamlessly moves through the points, not losing any physical length in the process of transition. This is because void space is timeless, and this process happens instantaneously.
However, you must ensure the path to your designation is clear since you are technically traversing the space in between while jumping or warping, even if it seems timeless and seamless. Although the natural encasement can deflect small objects, as a general rule of thumb, you cannot jump through objects. If you attempted to jump through a star, it would explode at the force of impact. To defer this and apparent acts of terrorism, all ships that can warp require a warp drive for the cannons to work. The drive gives the cannons the go-ahead to fire and the module is bound to a set of protocols established by the manufacturers who undergo constant inspections by either faction. The warp drive powers down if a ship is stolen or pirated from its original user.
Warping is a big responsibility. That’s why only 12% of known ships in the system can actually warp and most are military-owned vessels or exploratory vessels. On the other hand, jump drives are more obtainable for the average person as they are capped at a certain distance and are also programmed not to let a person jump to certain places in the system.
"All objects in my vision slowly stretched to a center, singular point, and then quickly reality snapped back to its proper distance a few seconds later. It was like a visual rubber band sensation. I physically felt nothing, and the ship made no noise at all. It was like, for that brief moment, even sound stopped." -Vykren Caustis explaining the sensation of jumping.
Rifting
In Book 2, rifting is discussed limitedly because no one really knows how it works yet, even the entity that first used it. However, we know that rifting uses a form of cross-dimensional and warping technology where one can warp between universes in the multiverse - or, alternatively, one could break out of his/her own universal encasement and re-enter it at a different point (which is what happened to the entity in Book 2). You must know the physical dimensional construction of both universes to rift between them. Basically, you need to know the quantum-dimensional passwords for each universe to exit your current universe and to enter the new one.

Assault Multi-Purpose Spacecraft:
Crackwave Shocker
Staggerdrop
Starglazer
Note: There is huge emphasis for this faction not to permanently dwell among the stars like some humans wish to. They only wish to forge small ships for defense, to gather, and for transportation. No mass transport vessels or star stations are needed. They wish to be planet dwelling and populate because, as synthetics, they don't need to find the "perfect" planet for it to be suitable. However, their war tactic is for their vessels to swarm in mass like wasps in space prior to an attack. It's very effective.
War Bardges:
Bulldozer
Small-Medium War Vessels (Built in Various Sizes):
Hellglider
Meltabomber
The Bulldozer. Being the size of a massive asteroid, these can house thousands of dropships. At the time of Book II, there are only 4 that exist. The MB Syndicate's Home Base is on Eros.
The Hellglider. It can shoot hellslade bullets and has smaller pyro cannons.
The Meltabomber. This can only shoot hellslade bullets in one direction, but in two directions it shoots massive pyro cannonballs.
Autonomous Flying Vehicles (AFVs)
These are all-purpose flying space drones which can breach almost any atmosphere. Types: Assault (also known as scout) drones, defensive drones, resource collection drones, and communication drones.
Andrones (known as droids in other sci-fi universes) (mechanoid)
Andrones are autonomous small land drones that specifically do not fly and are under 3 feet tall. They are named Andrones after Android, depicting the small green robot. Andrones are all-terrain land bots. These small bots can have treads like a mini-tank or two or more appendages to walk on. If these drones have treads, they can easily traverse the walls or ceilings of ships, making it easy for them to stay out of the way of the main crew. Some andrones host a ship's AI separate from the main computer.
Amalgafied Bots (A-Bots) (mechanoid)
These mechanoids are bots 5-8ft tall. Within them, the PrimeMind OS is housed independently. They are always built bi-pedal, except they don’t have a head. Their CPU is located under their well-armored chest plates. Most A-bots have three toes and four fingers. During the war, there were two builds: Scout and Tank. They are now built in many different ways for residential use.
Cryptic Bots (C-Bots) (mechanoid)
These mechanoids are the same as A-bots, except instead of housing the PrimeMind, these bots house the Nexus OS.
Goliath Mechs
These manned mechs can be 20-50 feet tall. They can be manned or fully autonomous. Goliaths can shoot volleys of rockets and have mounted machine guns. They can also carry very large weapons. They are similar to A-bots and C-bots in that they lack a head and have the same number of digits.
Rogue Bots (R-Bots) (mechanoid)
A group of bots whose failsafe protocols failed to initiate when the Amalgafied infiltrated a shipment of C-Bots and attempted to hack them during transit. These bots, in turn, lost their original directive. The shipment of over 150 bots turned on both factions during transit, secured the starship and went rogue. Nobody knows where they reside in the galaxy.
Dolauofghs (Dough-Lofs)
Dolauofghs are spherical, soft-tissue balloon-like animals that filter particles from the air to eat. They are yellow and spiney, but their spines are not sharp. The spines are fleshy. They look like atmospheric floating, puffed-up pufferfish with no eyes or distinction of top vs bottom. They determine how high they hover in the air as they can willingly lose more of their weight in mass or gain it. When they defecate, they simply push some air out of a small gastric vent. The vapor that comes from this process is light yellow. They reproduce by spores. These animals do nothing but hover in the air until they die. They are an invasive species.
Kin-Dragons
Kin-dragons are dog-sized, dinosaur-like aliens. They are named kin-dragons as an alternative name for “child-sized dinosaurs.” An Earth-like planet was discovered lightyears from our solar system in its pre-historic era compared to Earth. Still, it is a minor planet with a lesser oxygen supply. This planet also has no flying fauna or large aquatic fauna, making us question how life evolved there. It only has small land fauna and limited foliage. These alien micro-dinos look like our pre-historic dinosaurs, except they don’t have scales. They have pentagonal-indented, multi-colored skin. There are five types of kin-dragon:
The Sailikin (the sail-fin kin-dragon) - Similar to the Spinosaurus with a shorter tail and equal-height legs
The Brontokin - A longer-necked kin-dragon similar to a micro-brontosaurus but with a thicker stubby tail instead of a longer one to distribute its weight.
The Raptikin - A small raptor-like kin-dragon, except this animal has no forearms and much wider feet. Additionally, it has 6 clawed toes.
The Tuskviper - A uniquely evolved animal that grew to have an additional striking appendage on its hindside rather than a tail. Like a scorpion, its tail is typically locked above itself at the ready. However, instead of a stinger, there is a three-foot-long, sword-like, thick, venomous tusk at the end of its tail, which can detach when used and grow back within weeks. This animal is quad-pedal and low to the ground.
Tardi Pigs
These giant tardigrades were found on a non-earthlike planet but actually fair better on Earth once they were introduced. They were the only living fauna in the world where they were found. These animals are almost the exact representation of tardigrades, except they are a little fattier and don’t necessarily prefer long-term exposure to water. These animals are used more as a food source.
The Malik
The Malik are considered sentient water-dwelling mammals. Although 64.8% of their DNA is of unknown origin to our local kingdom, they are mainly related to dolphins but resemble large whales. These animals have learned to communicate with us through our technology almost seamlessly. Unlike animals in our kingdom, like gorillas and dolphins, we could almost immediately open the doors of cross-species communication through telepathy with technology. After further diagnosis, it was determined that these animals are only a stone’s throw away from being as intelligent as humans. The Malik were the ones who asked to be transported to Earth as a non-invasive species. Although sentient, they were at the bottom of their food chain on their home planet, which was made entirely of water and mainly contained venomous and predatory creatures. On Earth, The Malik are content and keep to themselves mostly. They are multi-colored brown and grey big-bellied whales with three large tusks (similar to narwhals, but the tusks are mammoth-like, and an extra one protrudes from their chin). Their skin is made up of shiny hexagonal indents. They also have two long whiskers like a catfish. These are not scales as they are not individualized nor ever fall off. These hexagonal indents make up the armor of a Malik.
Vlutes
A vlute is a purple-elongated alien pterodactyl-like creature that does not belong to the scientific class Aves. It is more related to the reptilian type of our animal kingdom. However, 91.6% of its DNA is unknown to our local domain. It has half-transparent, purple, veiny wings like a bat. Its veins are white, but its blood is yellow. Its beak is close to that of a Pteranodon sternbergi, but it is made of hardened black bone with no keratin. When they are born, their beaks will never grow. These animals grow into their beaks, making them look highly awkward as young. Its call is a deafening, high-pitched screech. Fully grown, vlutes are mountable and can be flown into combat. They can also be fit to high-tech armor. These animals are a sour-tasting food source, so they are not typically eaten. They are an invasive species used more for combat.
MC Giant Komodos (Martian Class)
These giant komodo dragons are bioengineered with alien DNA and based on entirely different chemistry to withstand Martian conditions near habitable zones. These animals have been engineered to have a full-fanged mouth and a venomous bite. They are mountable and can be ridden into combat. They can also be fit to high-tech armor. These MC komodos can hibernate to survive in harsh conditions.
MC Sabrebears (Martian Class)
These stout, low-to-the-ground sabrebears have a bioengineered, altered chemistry. The long-maned animals have sharp claws and two long fangs. One bite is a guaranteed kill. They are mountable and can be ridden into combat. They can also be fit to high-tech armor. These sabrebears can hibernate to survive in harsh conditions.
MC Tardi Pigs (Martian Class)
These are tardi pigs with an altered chemistry to survive on Mars. Please see tardi pigs under alien fauna for a full explanation.

Fractalism Is a path to eternal prosperity created by the Ancients. In total, Fractalism answers how to reside in timeless void space, how to transverse the multiverse, how to become immortal, and even how to build a realm of eternal peace for a sentient species to reside in. It is answered by unlocking all spires on an Ancient temple which is done by discovering what the Ancient's have classified as truths of existence.
When a spire is unlocked, the temple cracks a wormhole rift to the system of discovery and back to itself along with a wormhole to every other system it has been connected to.
If the same species discovers more than one truth, another spire(s) will lock down instead of fire.
The truths don't have to be unlocked in any order, and the spires don't have to fire in any order.
Fractalism is treated like a religion by the Ancients and the Orbitals.
Fractalism’s Truths of Existence:
The quantum link between the microscopic and macroscopic states of the macroverse proves that the macroverse is truly physically infinite. This was coined Quantum Ascension. The Ancients call the higher order of the macroverse the Fractal. Different universes are made of different energies that don’t exist in our reality. Therefore, they reside in another “dimension” of reality elsewhere in the Fractal. This explains why we cannot see them with the naked eye, but they all have a base signature energy, which Yha Nin identified with his dimensional filter technology. They are all subject to different laws of physics. Humanity discovered this truth
Immortality is achievable in any space-time. The Orbitals have discovered how to do this in our space-time by uploading their once biological consciousnesses to their version of the cloud, hosted within the Orisphere. This is done by higher dimensional physics and a deep understanding of quantum entanglement. The Orisphere broadcasts their consciousnesses through space-time with no time lag faster than the speed of light into their assigned shell. Also, on the Orisphere are millions of “unpowered” Orbital shells. When an Orbital ceases to exist physically, its consciousness is transferred back to the Orisphere and is redirected to a new spare shell. An Orbital never truly dies, and they’ve learned to create new consciousnesses that never were biologically born in the past.
SPOILER ALERT, DISCOVERED AT THE BEGINNING OF BOOK II: The existence of the multiverse and the unlocking the knowledge of multi-dimensional travel between them (aka rifting between universes). The Calgustation discovered this truth. This process exposes a species to other existence in other laws of physics.

TRUTH #6 IS UNDISCOVERED THUS FAR.
You may have noticed throughout Book 1 that the timeline of the Caustis family doesn't add up. In a short story, you will discover that Yha is also a secret time traveler. This goes all the way back to Chapter 2 of Book 1, where Vykren explains he sent the story back to the reader in a warp capsule through spacetime to escape the grasp of an alien collective. Vykren learned how to do this through Yha. However, Yha doesn't reveal how to time travel in full until the end of the series, when humanity grows desperate. All we know for now is that it's done through a perfectly calibrated warp through a black hole that mirrors our space at different times.
The family has contributed discoveries to humanity while being Natural Born. Those discoveries are warp technology through Nythaniel and the time traveling through Yha. However, Yha keeps time-traveling secret from the public. Yha also discovered cross-dimensional filter technology, but he discovered this after he became Amalgafied.
Timeline of the Caustis Family Tree:
2275 - Nythaniel was Born
2299 - Nythaniel (at 25 years old) discovered Warping
2378 - Nythaniel (at 103) had a son, Yha Nin
2403 - Nythaniel (at 128) became Amalgafied by choice and left the Natural Born. This was mainly to extend his life. Yha was 25 and remained Natural Born.
2503 - Yha discovers time travel at 125 years old. He keeps it entirely a secret.
>> 2670 - 2679 - Yha met the love of his life at 125 years old, but she died during the Age of Terror when he was 134, the same year she bore his child.
>> 2798 - At 134 years old, Yha found the last standing Natural Born city and put his child for adoption under a hidden alias, Caustis.
2712 - Yha goes back in the timeline and stays. Out of heartbreak, he swears not to use time travel again. He becomes Amalgafied and starts a new life.
2712 - Nythaniel dies, naturally by choice. He leaves his riches to Yha.
2822 - At 24 years old, Caesar Caustis leads the Natural Born people to believe they would be better-fit hiding in a mountain.
2830 - At 32 years old, Caesar is made King of Snowden Keep and continues to oversee its construction.
2822-2892 - All Natural Born citizens contribute to building Snowden.
2883 - Vykren Caustis was born.
2892 - Caesar and Vykren's mother die.
2910 - Yha discovers Quantum Ascension.
Natural Born
Snowden Keep (Earth, now destroyed) - was the last standing stronghold of the Natural Born. It was located on Earth within the mountains of the Swiss Alps.
Amalgafied
Tri.Sec.Earnest.12 (The BioCrypt) - The name of the city where Vykren and his squad were held captive, on the BioCrypt. They were not aware of the city name at the time of their captivity. The BioCrypt is divided into triangular sectors. Then, the sectors are named after someone in the alphabet. There are enough sectors on the BioCrypt to fill the entire English alphabet. Then, the sectors are divided into cities numbered 1-24.
Camp Ostafarr (Mars, Olympus Mons) - The City of Slaves. This is the Amalgafied's camp for imprisoned Natural Born.
Natural Born
Vykren Caustis (Originally) - The main character.
Ceasar Caustis - Vykren's Father, deceased. Once King of Snowden.
Anna Rose - Once a leader in Snowden's Court, now Vykren's first mate.
Ambrose Quenox - Once a general in the Caustain Guard, now the general under Vykren's command.
Yha Nin - The scientist who discovered Quantum Ascension.
Zephyra - Yha Nin's Natural Born daughter along for the ride. She's eleven years old.
Scarlett - Yha Nin's sabrebear he brought onboard the Mantis.
Willow - The Malik stationed within the Keep room on the Mantis. It turns out the tankship was a tankship in a few ways.
Artificial Intellects
Kleigt - Vykren's AI
VeeOne - Yha Nin's AI
Bot Crew
UL-65515, Ulysses for short - The Mantis' AI, installed in an old scrappy Androne. Ulysses is both the AI and androne.
BE-105323, Beepis for short - An A-bot purchased and modified by Yha Nin's father. He's old and has an LCD screen face with a mustache.
Natural Born
The Snowden Court - A court of people elected by the members of Snowden Keep to help govern and manage the city.
The Caustain Guard - A voluntarily formed soldiership in honor of former King Caesar Caustis now supported and paid by the Snowden Court.
CryptSights
The Crytpic Government - Originally the Nexus Core, they are the governing body of the CryptSight faction. They also manage the Nexus Core OS.
Amalgafied
The Amalgafied Government - The governing body of the Amalgafied faction. They also manage the PrimeMind.
Mars Coalition of the Amalgafied (MCA) - The leading government branch of the Amalgafied stationed on Mars.
Sub-Clans - After the return to the Ecther System in Book 2, we find that the CryptSights have been divided into many clans.
A Starship's Variant
If a ship can seat less than ten, it is a Variant A ship. Variant B ships were ships that could seat ten to ninety-nine people. Variant C ships fit seats over a hundred, and Variant D could sit over a thousand.
There are even higher variants - spaceports also have variants that describe them.
With starships, we also consider how many dropships it could land when describing its Variant.
If a ship is classified as a Variant CL12 vessel, it can seat over 100 people and has docking ports or a landing bay accommodating up to 12 dropships.
A rule of thumb is that a frigate equals two dropships in this equation. So above could also be used to describe a ship that fits 6 frigates.
The only way to really know is for the person to tell you how many landing pads they have and what size in their starship's landing bay.

Common Mechanoids - Have the full version on their Operating System installed. Some aged common mechanoids have become semi-sentient, so the production of common mechanoids has decreased as time has passed.
Lesser Mechanoids - Mechanoids installed with a lesser version (or far more limited version) of an Operating System. Imagine the base operating system of Windows versus the business professional package.
